Whitley became the President of Alice Volunteer Services/Alice Food Pantry in 2005. Smith took over as manager of the Alice Food Pantry in 1990 and held that position until his death in 2018. Whitley’s dad, Gordon “Bud” Smith was one of the founding members of Alice Volunteer Services. Within every community, offering sustenance to those dealing with economic challenges is crucial.
